Valerie and I had a great visit with Pastor Sam Ault and his wife, Cindy, as well as the entire church family.  They were a great encouragement to us, and we hope that we were to them as well.  After the morning services were over, we were treated to a WONDERFUL lunch and GREAT fellowship with the Pastor Sam, Cindy and a couple from the church (Kenny & Rhonda). The theme of the Bridge Conference was "Cultivating Disciples", and I was invited to present a session on "The Basic Truth About Discipleship" with a particular focus on the knowledge, skills & character needed to effectively cultivate discipleship and disciple-making. Personally, I find the Bridge Conference an exciting meeting where those who attend can be encouraged in their service to God. It is primarily designed to provide helpful sessions for those in ministry, but also to serve as a time of refreshing for those who may be going through difficult times.  I would encourage you to mark your calendars now for that same time next year....the dates won't be far off.

I am not sure how many years the Defenders Conference has been being held, but I know it is several.  It was my first time to attend, and it was a great day for sure.  There were probably 10 different sessions and some of them were offered two times during the day.  A wonderful lunch was provided and there were two messages preached as well. For me, it was a blessing to be there and an honor to be asked to speak.
