Students International Missionary Baptist Seminary School (SIMBSS)

SIMBSS is a ministry of Second Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas which primarily exists to help Second Baptist Church fulfill the Great Commission (Mt.28:1-20) by making disciples that make disciples. Furthermore, SIMBSS exists to train men for ministry, establish (and leave behind) indigenous seminaries/bible institutes wherever we go, and assist & strengthen other local churches as we have opportunity. We believe our existence fulfills both Matthew 28:18-20 AND 2 Timothy 2:2.

We arrived on Monday the 11th and had a wonderful week of teaching. We returned on Saturday, March 16th. We also were privileged to have Pastor Luis Vazquez, from Saltillo, Mexico join us and participate in the teaching. In all, we each had four lessons to teach during our time there. Obviously, Luis had no trouble teaching them since his birth language is Spanish, but the rest of us had to have an interpreter to help us teach. We had an interpreter hired, but Luis stepped up and relieved him from time to time just to give him a break. We'll be returning the first week of June for the second of four teaching trips for 2024. In the meantime, I am attempting to learn at least a little Spanish!
