Greetings!
I'll not go into a lot of detail here about August activity because the current monthly report (Available HERE) contains all of that information. However, I do want to say that in the month of August SIMBSS merged with the Amazon Project. The Amazon Project is also a ministry of our sponsoring church, Second Baptist Church in Malvern, AR.
There is still a lot to be determined about travel schedules and teaching plans, but we are well on our way to getting some of that worked out.
Like the rest of the world, the Amazon Project had a huge setback due to covid. Bro Blake Parsley (Amazon Missionary) and his family were actually living in Peru when Covid began. They stayed a while, but after counsel from the sponsoring pastor, they came back to the USA. There is a lot more to it than that, but those are the details.
Because some of their work as up and down the river, the ministry owns this boat. At least for the foreseeable future the boat will be retained. We'll be traveling there at the end of September, so we should have a pretty good idea where we are after the trip is over.
